Is the ipad suitible to high school?

Im going into high school and i need something thats compatible with microsoft word 2007. My mom thinks i should get a laptop instead, but i really want the ipad. Is there any way to get it to convert to a docx. file.

A laptop would be way more suitable but the Ipad would be a lot more fun. It’s your decision.

Swap my Macbook for an iPad?

Ok, so ive got a black macbook, which i brought a few years ago now but looking to swap for a ipad. I was thinking it would just be much easier for me. All I use my macbook for at the moment is to browse the internet and look through youtube. I have a 24-inch iMac, which i use for downloading etc. I only ever use it in the front room on the sofa. I am going to go back studying in September, so was thinking a swap would be good for mobile word processing/spreadsheets/presentations with the apps the ipad has.

Just wondering what everyone thinks and the pro’s/con’s of an ipad.

Macbook Pro 13″ or iPad?

The Macbook Pro 13″ inches is pretty much like an apple netbook and really portable to carry around. But I also like the iPad. I already own a laptop but would like a portable device to carry around and that fits in my bag. The only thing is that I like to use the internet a lot so I would have to pay a monthly fee for mobile broadband when I am out, they have an iPad 3G Model but it’s pretty expensive.

If I already own a laptop is there any point getting the smallest Macbook Pro and which is better; the iPad or Macbook Pro 13″? Thanks for answering.

If you are happy with your existing notebook, and want something that fits in your bag, it sounds like the iPad would work well for you.

Emails are being sent to my email contacts under my email address. How do I stop this?

I fell prey to a the latest SPAM, “Be a Beta Tester for IPAD.” That has now opened the window for my contacts to get multiple SPAM emails from me. Is there a way to stop my contacts from receiving any future emails?

Sounds like your E-mail account has been compromised, or you picked up a virus, Gee.
Immediately have your computer checked for a ‘bug’ or ‘bugs.’ If you have the proper programs, do the scans yourself, if not you need to take your computer to some one who can.
Once it is clean of pests, install a firewall and an anti-virus program if you do not have one yet.
I strongly recommend a program for malware and adware also.
After you finish this, then go in and change your password, using a good strong one.
Also, check your account information and make sure no information was changed, if it was change it back immediately.
Then, you will have to inform your contacts that it was not you sending that mail, but they need to check their computers in case they were also infected.

can i use iPad like a netbook? (for college classes, because my laptop is heavy)?

You might want to do some research before you purchase something. Go to a frigging Best Buy or Apple Store and play with one.
